Amazon’s Wearable AI Device Bee Can Generate Shopping Suggestions

According to Chuhaiwang, Amazon’s wearable AI device Bee can turn everyday conversations into shopping suggestions—as soon as a wearer casually mentions that a household item is running low, Amazon.com and the Bee app display a corresponding recommendation. Bee was developed by a startup team acquired by Amazon last year. The device has a microphone to capture conversations and automatically generate summaries, tasks, and reminders. Shopping recommendations are activated only if users choose to link their account with Amazon and subscribe to Bee Pro. The Bee Frontier armband version is available in the United States for 74.99 dollars, while the Bee Eclipse magnetic phone-back clip version is coming soon, with a starting price of 99.99 dollars. Bee Pro is free for the first 30 days, then costs 12 dollars per month and gives subscribers the ability to ask Alexa+ about content captured by Bee. Amazon positions it as a “memory aid” for products people already need to buy.
