Amazon Plans to Acquire AI Startup Decart for 70 Hundred Million US Dollars

If negotiations proceed smoothly and no other potential buyers intervene, the deal could be reached soon. However, this information cannot currently be independently verified, and neither Decart nor Amazon has responded to requests for comment.

Headquartered in the United States, inSan Francisco, Decart was founded in 2023 by three Israeli engineers: brothers Dean Leitersdorf and Orian Leitersdorf, and Moshe Shalev.

Unlike companies focused on developing chatbots, one of Decart's technological priorities is helping developers switch more easily between different artificial intelligence chips. As global technology companies intensify their competition for the computing resources needed for artificial intelligence, technologies of this kind are becoming increasingly important.

Decart has already launched several artificial intelligence models. Among them, the Lucy model, supported by Nvidia, can edit live video, changing the visuals directly during playback.

Decart has also developed the Oasis model, which can generate simulated environments for training and testing robots and autonomous driving systems. These technologies cover applications such as real-time video processing and simulated environment generation, making Decart one of the startups attracting attention in the artificial intelligence sector.

In terms of valuation, Decart's value has risen rapidly in a short period. Data shows that the company's valuation had approached 40 hundred million US dollars in 5 of 2026. In 5 of the same year, it completed another funding round of 3 hundred million US dollars, led by Radical Ventures, with Nvidia participating as a new investor.

Amazon is now reportedly in acquisition talks at a valuation of approximately 70 hundred million US dollars. If the deal is ultimately completed, its valuation would rise further from the level of nearly 40 hundred million US dollars in 5.

Notably, Amazon is not the first major artificial intelligence company to consider acquiring Decart. Anthropic is the developer of the Claude chatbot, and the two parties also proceeded with due diligence at the time. However, Anthropic decided in 9 not to proceed further with the acquisition.

Amazon has now taken over the negotiations, with the deal valuation rising further to approximately 70 hundred million US dollars. However, the ongoing talks remain subject to uncertainty, and whether the deal can be successfully completed is still unclear. If the two parties cannot reach an agreement, or if other potential buyers emerge, the acquisition plans could change.
