Risk of Falls! U.S. CPSC Recalls 11 Million Swing Seats Sold on Amazon

The recall was announced on 2026-10-8 and involves U-shaped swing seats under the PACEARTH brand. The products come in various colors, including green, blue, pink, red, and teal. The chains are covered with yellow plastic and come with metal carabiners or quick links, as well as yellow straps, for attaching the swing to an outdoor swing set or a tree branch. The products were sold as both single-seat and two-seat sets.

Consumers in the United States can find sales listings for this product onAmazon.com. The affected swing seats were sold from 2017-5 to 2026-6, at prices ranging from $27 to $57. The recalled products were made in China and sold by Pacearth Direct, located in the City of Industry,California, in the United States.

The main reason for the recall is that product components may break during use. A failure involving the seat itself, metal connectors, or straps could cause users to fall from the swing and suffer serious injuries. Pacearth Direct has received at least 30 reports of related fall incidents, including at least 9 incidents resulting in injuries such as fractures, head injuries, and bruises.

In response to this risk, the CPSC is instructing consumers to stop using the affected swing seats immediately and contact Pacearth Direct to request a full refund. Consumers must write “RECALLED” on the swing seat with a permanent marker, then take a photo showing the PACEARTH brand mark and send it to the recall email address to obtain a refund.
