Vinted and DHL launch new parcel shipping service: 3.20 euros for parcel shop drop-off

According to reports from Chinese cross-border e-commerce news outlet Chuhaiwang, citing a German e-commerce media outlet and a retailers’ association, DHL has launched a new shipping service for second-hand fashion platform Vinted. Shipping to a DHL Packstation costs 3.20 euros, while shipping to a store or parcel collection point costs up to 3.69 euros. Previously, DHL’s prices on Vinted were usually about 1 euros higher than those of Hermes, DPD, and GLS; the new rates have closed the gap. The size rules have attracted greater attention. According to an internal circular, DHL will no longer separately check the weight and dimensions of parcels weighing up to 31.5 kilograms and no longer than 200 centimeters, and will accept tear-resistant bag packaging. Vinted provides only a QR code, so sellers must print the shipping label on site at a parcel shop or store. This service tier does not include home delivery. DHL has not yet publicly confirmed these details, and industry observers believe that platforms such as eBay may also adopt the service.
